How the fuck do you open mixed sets at night?
I know the opinion opener can sometimes be effective, I have had it work for me a few times however I think that this is limited to mixed groups that arnt very well aquainted. Such as a group of couples or group of people with new friends, work associates etc. I have tried it on groups of people who are well aquainted and every time I have been shot down and burnt. This may be due to my delivery, I dont want to limit myself saying it is the other peoples reactions that is limiting me over my performance im not at all about that. However, I was wondering why I kept getting shot down untill I had another comminuty member try this opener on my friends and I who had a girl with us. We were all in our tight nit group which is extremely hard to penetrate and we were like this guy is sup[er lame. He, like me many times was shot down and burnt. How do you approach miced sets that are all well aquainted without getting blown out? There is obviously a different approach needed then for all female sets or getting to know each other sets. Does anybody have any commments they would like to add?

Is it just my, and the other guys approach?

Is there another way to approach mixed sets that is needed and if so, what is it?
