I was out with a buddy the other night checking out his new place, and we walked down to the corner bar to have a few drinks. There was only one small group in there of two dudes and they soon left.

We continue to drink and eventually a three set of women of varying age and rank walk in and take their spot at the end of the bar, and an 8.0 walks in and sits at the mega touch machine a few seats down from me.

A little time goes by and my friend excuses himself to use the rest room. As soon as this happens a cute blond from the three set walks up and says that her friend (a very drunk chick about 45 with big blond 80s hair) thinks that my hair is fake and a wig. I tell her that it is real and is fantastic. She spends a little time massaging my scalp and chatting, my friend returns and she eventually returns to her group.

We drink a little more and eventually me and the 8.0 sit and flirt for the rest of the night, blah blah blah, not important to my question.



So my question is why did all of this spring into action the moment my buddy stepped away?

The same reason guys would rather approach a woman when she's alone versus with her friends.

It takes a lot of confidence to go up and talk to someone like that when someone else is listening.
