This is one I thought of a while ago but I haven't field tested it yet. Though it combines some well-tested functions.

Before you cross paths ask her what time it is, then when she gives it to you, say "shit, I'm late," and start walking the opposite direction.

You could open her over your shoulder now that you're walking the same direction. It's a great way to reverse direction. ^^
