Its symptoms include: jumpiness, seeing things that aren’t there is a doe, or completely missing its obvious presence altogether.
In hunting it is the condition that occurs when one is so mesmerized by a deer that don’t take your shot.
It can cause very high levels of anxiety.
I classify buck fever as a form of hysteria in which your cerebrum and cerebellum shut down simultaneously and you are left either paralyzed or unable to do anything except wet yourself.
Now, why the fuck am I talking about deer hunting?
It’s much the same as when a very attractive woman is in your own ‘line of fire’.
The same sweaty palms. The same shortness of breath. The inability to make coherent sentences.
She makes you shake as if stricken with a palsy, and makes you feel like an 8 year old standing in front of his classmates in his underpants.
Now, how does a champion hunter get over Buck Fever?
The best way possible. PRACTICE!..... Practice, Practice, Practice.
In pickup it's approach, approach, approach.
You shoot at a target over and over until you draw and your aim are second nature to you. You pull the trigger as soon as you target is in your sights.
You do this in competition. In front of everyone.
You expose yourself to being publicly humiliated if you back down, and rewarded if you don't.
Then you face your target knowing success is the ONLY option. _________________ They call me the cat whisperer, cause I know exactly what the pussy needs.
