I have found some really effective openers lately and have had a good success rate with them.

1. Jack Handy Quotes...these are a great tool and are easy to find online. They are basically off the wall quotes from an old snl character. One of my favorites is "If you ever drop your keys into a river of molten lava...let them go, cause man...they're gone!" It usually gets a good laugh and lets you segway into some convo before hitting on or negging a chick.

2. Find a girl that you want to talk to and go up to her and find a unique artical of clothing that you know she is trying to show off....maybe her dress or boots or a flashy necklace. Then you open by saying "I have that same dress... but I have to admit it looks better on me/you." Depending on the girl starting off with a neg doesn't always work but I figure that if she can't laugh at a 6'4" 250lb man with a beard saying that I look better than her in her dress she isn't worth talking to anyways.

3. My friend told me this next one, he has had a lot of success with it. "Is it just me or does wearing new underwear make you feel more attractive?"
