So heres the deal: All of the talk here seems to be talking about picking up girls who are complete strangers. I'm in college and know quite a few very hot girls that I'd like to pick up - but is the strategy the same as picking up strangers??

I mean, I'm not exactly friends with them, but an acquaintance, and it would seem very strange if I suddenly approached them like strangers! Any advice on how to proceed?

I'm very, very shy and so tend to rely on my looks to get girls, but I'm beginning to realize that looks don't really matter to women.

So, should I abandon all hope and find some complete strangers, or is there a way I can get these girls???

I'm in the same boat and keen to hear any suggestions... All I can figure so far is a bit of flirting, but although that's got me close it hasn't closed anything. It kinda helps that I (and lots of them) do a lot of competitive dancing together, so we're used to kino.

A friend of mine once said "it's called pickup for a reason, right? As in you pick them up and follow the steps?"

I had the exact same situation as you. I tried running game on girls I've already known for a bit, and it came off slightly weird.

I'm not gonna say it's impossible. Anything can be done, and pickup artists excel at understanding human interactions. The thing is, if you already sort-of know the girl, there's some background there already. If you understand exactly where you are with her, you will be able to take proper steps to eventually close. But each such story is different and unique - we can only help you if you give us the exact background. And unless you're fairly good at this already, odds are you will miss some important details (something that is already there but you didn't even notice, because you did not think it was important) and our advice will therefore not work, or at least have a greater chance of failure.

Make your goals long-term. Instead of trying to pick up the bunch of women you already know, tell yourself "I will master male-female interactions". And for that you will need to go out and pick up complete strangers. Get the skills first, then think about getting the girl. It's gonna hurt a whole lot at first, but I promise you: YOU WILL HAVE FUN DOING THIS STUFF!
