First off, thanks for all the responses. It has helped greatly. Now only if I can remember it when the time comes.
If it means anything, I've been going through this forum every now and them, but this is my first thread. I've had approach-anxiety, and pretty much just a dislike for being around a lot of people (ie mall) or meeting new people (ie college classroom), and so forth. I was kind of shy around extended family members (relatives) as well. In malls or when talking to others, I wouldn't keep eye contatct or I would just look at the ground.
Now, I'm a bit more open to being around people. I think I've come along way ever since I starter working at my latest job (been there since '05) and since I starter going through threads on this site. I'm able to keep better eye contact (though it can still use some work) and I'm much more comfortable around people. I think a lot of it has to do with what is being said on the site as well as the fact that I work around 98% females -- some that like me, some that don't. Point is -- I don't care. I'll just be myself. It also helps when some of the women are agggressive, it brings out a different side of me.

ask the bagger to help you out to your car with your groceries. having her carry your groceries out does a lot more for you than just open
This is great. I actually thought about using this.
I went to get groceries, got them bagged by an attractive female, and my mind wend blank for some reason. Then when I got home, I started thinking of what I could say and that came to mind. Gonna try to use it when I get groceries next weekend (that is -- assuming that the bagger is, again, someone attractive)
On another note, I just thought about using something like "You look familiar, did you go to so-and-so (or, do you live at so-and-so". She would most-likely say "no", then I can ask where she is from (or where she went to school). ...And take it from there...
Or what about, "I applied to work here, but they wanted me to work full-time, which wasn't possible -- as I go to school full-time. (DHV)" Then move on to say "do you work here and go to school as well?" ...and so forth...
