I'd really like to follow Mystery's method, but it seems that a really big part of it is approaching sets that consist of more than 1 person. Here where I live, people aren't as social and by just approaching a group of people out of blue you are already considered as some weirdo. So my question is, is the method gonna be close as effective when it's played on a 1-set? It would show my obvious attraction towards the target and also I couldn't really neg her to conceal my hidden agenda.

Dude, negging is old it's from 5-10 years ago, when you see a girl you like just go up like a man and show her you're interested. No need for weird techniques and manipulations...

You only neg 9s and 10s anyway, not hb8s or less. And if you are just starting out I doubt you'll be opening many 9s and 10s, so forget about negging for now.

Personally I feel a neg doesn't have to be a negative comment. It can be just be quick witted banter. But the problem is you either have witt or you don't. If you don't, then work another angle.

Yeah. Approaching more than 1 is hard. That's why I like daygame more. I wouldn't worry so much about the negs now like others have said. They were more effective 10 years ago. Just don't be a chump and go talk to people. No one's ever gonna laugh at you or think you're a weirdo for talking to a cute girl.

Just to clarify, negs are no more or less effective now than they were 10 years ago. The principle behind negs remains just as effective now as it did when Mystery and Style were sarging at "GOVERNMENT" back in 2003. With proper technique, they can still work just fine.

What people are really trying to say is that more effective techniques, particularly for the novice, have been developed in the last few years. And it's better to cultivate your pickup game around those techniques than it is the Mystery Method. At least that is what the general consensus is among most pua's.
