equipment needed for opener:
Cellphone
(I recently bought an iPhone from the states which are unavailable in canada i thought i might use it to help open sets. DHV or does it come off try hard?)
Here is an opener i came up with that could use some work but im gonna try it out please give me some advice to make it work:


Me : Hey I need a hand/favour with something, it will only take a sec
her: what ?
Me: Do you know how to use a cellphone?
her : ya

1. Nice, I like girls who are smart like you! what other qualities do you have?

or

2.. I got this new phone and Im not sure how to add contacts why dont you try and add yourself ?

her: ncie try!

me: Haha *smiling* what you think I wuold honestly consider calling you in my spare time? Im just trying to figure out my phone

Your cell phone is not a DHV. Although a 1980's Zack Morris from Saved by the Bell cell phone might be a DLV. I like this part:

Me : Hey I need a hand/favour with something, it will only take a sec
her: what ?
Me: Do you know how to use a cellphone?

It's a descent opener and also a playful neg. Although I'd re-write it as "You do know how to use a cellphone right?"

Then I'd say something like, "Great take a picture of me!" Let her fumble around with trying to get it to work. Then you can help show her how it works and you've broken the ice, and she feels a little DLV'd since she didn't know how to use it.

The responses after this I can't agree with because you are showing too much interest in your target up front, and it is too soon to ask for the phone number. You will get shot down more than you succeed.
