Here's the big question that been fucking with my head for a long time now, why are men so afraid to approach women?

I always had this theory, In today society men are being raised up to be physically strong and emotionally weak, while on the other hand women are raised up to be physically weak but emotionally strong. Is this a way for women to control men in relationships, and to keep men tamed or is it just a balance to keep society stable?

Well the reason we are biologically wired to have approach anxiety is because 500 to 10,000 years ago, if you approached a woman you didnt know, and she happened to be married. There is a good chance her husband or partner would try to kill you. That's why once we've been introduced and know the situation around the girl it becomes a lot easier.

As far as the other part of your question. Yes you are right, at least in western society that's what is happening.

Women have only 1 womb. If they were attracted to men based on looks, and men are attracted to women based on looks, it would be a sex storm. Women would be impregnated the second they became fertile and they would carry that 1 child that came from a random male...not good odds if that man turned out to be a loser who can't help raise the child.

So women evolved to be selective. That means specifically they evolved to NOT be attracted to men based on looks. Instead they evolved to be attracted to characteristics that make a good father.

Psychological studies have repeatedly shown that about 75% of men will have sex with a girl based on looks alone, compared to almost 0% of women.

What are women attracted to? They evolved to be attracted to men that make the best fathers. This can be confusing because in today's society women are attracted to guys who make the WORST fathers, but it all makes sense if you think about it.

What made a good father in prehistoric times is completely different from modern times. There was no distinction of money or blue collar vs white collar. It was all survival of the fittest. In a pack society, the men most capable of taking care of children would be the ones that command other men -- they can probably command the way that food is rationed out, etc. Its not so much about physical strength but about social clout and prowess. The characteristics of such men were most easily recognized by social queues so they developed biological attraction to these behavioral characteristics.

Women fall in love with men, but they seem to fall in love with assholes that dont love them back and treat them like shit. Also evolved behavior. A leader of the pack could have his way with any number of women, so he had no reason to fall in love with any one. So, if a man instantly falls in love with a woman, its actually a sign that he's not alpha...which is why women lose attraction when men fawn over them. It's a vicious cycle for women, because they are programmed to love men who don't love them back!

Fast forward to today: we dont live in a pack society. The most capable caretakers are weak nerdy white collar guys who work in cubicles and are desperate for female company. Women don't revise their attractions. They don't use logic to think about who will make a good father, they still look for the same old behavior characteristics that they evolved to be attracted to: that is, behavior characteristics of alpha males.

I think guys have a hard time cause there not used to it everything new is always difficult unless you have some kind of natural talent and not everybody has that but fear of approaching females is fear from inexperience and not knowing the effect it will have and if you just grow some balls and jump of the cliff a couple of times it's not gonna be shit to you eventually I don't think it has nothing to do with our environment just the person pushing himself

Interestingly the definition of evolve is to "develop over successive generations". Does this mean that eventually women will be attracted to weak nerdy white collar guys who work in cubicles and are desperate for female company? Maybe there is hope for us yet!
