This situation is based on my own experience. Here goes:

"I gotta question for you. My friend is involved in a real mess of a situation. His best friend is REALLY into him - he only just found out after telling this close friend that he's pursuing another girl who's very young and immature. The girl he's pursuing is significantly younger, immature, and sends off a lot of mixed signals so it's not even certain if anything will come of that situation. A month later, it becomes clear to the guy that his best friend is in a tremendous amount of pain knowing that his interest lies in this other girl, whom he's only known just a few months.

Should he follow his heart and pursue this girl he's chasing and risk losing his best friend, and in a worst scenario lose both girls, or should he drop this other girl to save the friendship?"

I bet it'll elicit so many different responses.

Didn't feel "GOLD" for the last few months experiencing it lol but only came out stronger, and hell yea I'm going to use this as my OWN opener:P With exception that the socalled friend is me.

The best opinion openers I have used are ones I make up that I am related to. The extra interest that I had just because it was about me or my friends made it better. Girls will ask if this is about you though. When you say "A friend of mine..." they just hear "I" a majority of the time.
