Picking a target.

I've heard a lot about picking a target. How important do people think that part of the game is? Say you're in a set with a couple of cute girls. What's the downside of keeping your options open as opposed to narrowing your options by having one particular target?

You have to break rapport with your target in order to create attraction, you cant just neg the whole group all the time, they will reject you.
