I've only just got into PUA, and I've been taking baby steps. I've been confined to day gaming and targeting single females, I mean those walking by themselves. I've not yet achieved much success, but then again, I've not tried enough as I tend to be very picky about who I want to pick up. Anyway, I usually stroll the streets on my bicycle looking for targets, but what I've noticed is that a large majority of females are using headphones. The issue is obviously that my first and second attempts to say Hello goes amiss, and then only once they remove their headphones, am I able to finally get the message across, but by then, my initial smile has turned into almost a strained look. I mean, I've managed to prolong the conversation when this has happened, despite the tetchy start, but I'm worried that the first impression which seems to have an important basis is being affected as a result. What do you guys think?

I once read that you should pretend to be shouting at her and when she puts her headphones off just say "hi". She should respond with a laugh

I actually just read an article that helped me a lot on what to do in those situations.
HERE IT GOES:

You: (motion her to take out her headphones) Does it work?!

HB: Yes or HUH?! (General responses)

You: I keep getting hit on my women while i am in the gym or on my bicycle, does the old headphone trick really work? --- (or something along those lines) Yeah, Whether i am actually listening to anything at all i think i might just try it.

Her: Response .....

From there i would just introduce yourself, And go into a routine or mention or comment on something she is wear or ask what she was listening to.

and then ask for the number and say you two should run together or bike together sometime.

I have approached a ton of girls with earphones in (either stationary or moving) and you follow the same rules. No matter what opener you use YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE SHE IS LISTENING TO YOU FOR IT TO BE EFFECTIVE

anyways i really do not reccomend going on a bike to pick up girls. you are riding the bike and see a pretty girl you want to talk to. you would either have to stop and get off the bike or approach on the bike.

So what i do is im on foot. let her past me (if she is walking opposite directions i let her pass and switch directions. jog to catch up to her and then *VERY IMPORTANT* touch her on the shoulder or elbow and step in front of her path. give her enough room to not startle her and motion her to stop with your hands. start talking and 9/10 she will take the earphones off

the touch is important bc it lets her know that you intend to talk to her and not anyone else. I find on the phone more difficult because i have to deal with a bigger interruption
