situational example-Grocery store. approaching woman from the front, make eye contact, smile naturally as u would when u see a close friend. look genuinely intrigued by her then shift attention towards something she has on or wearing but still making her think you're talking about her looks or the way she carries herself.

Guy: wow! you so elegant and classy(breathtaking, sassy, etc...)
Girl: Thank you
Guy: how silly of me ( smile ), i was talking about your ....... , for a second i just had to personally identify with it.
Girl: (possible positive response) laughs smiles

I'm just going to relate this to the stuff I have learned from my betters. Approaching her head on will be intimidating for her and also express way too much interest. By looking at her and shifting to an article of clothing this will be interpreted as you looking for something to talk about. I feel the most likely response to this is a polite "thank you" and then heading of to finish shopping. Then you would have to set up like a line man to keep her there and it would be over.

Try grabbing some healthy food from the shelf in her aisle, turning OVER THE SHOULDER and saying "I can't tell, is this actually organic or just labeled to look that way?"

If you want to go direct from there then you can compliment her in the way you mentioned. Maybe let your eyes widen when you make eye contact and show "genuine" surprise at how hot she is.

I would probably try to have a little more fun with it after the opener but I am more into the game and not so much the close right now. I am willing to miss out on the prize just to get better better. Like I said I am no expert and this is just what I gather from what I have learned thus far. Hopefully one of the better PUAs will see that a Slightly above average frustrated chump gave you advice and correct any mistakes.

It may work. I dont really compliment anymore. They know they're hot. They are looking for whats called an EH... or emotional hookpoint. Telling them things they already know does not help you to achieve an EH.
