So, I recently quit smoking after 20+ years of it (yes!), but I still occasionally will bum one if I'm at a bar or somewhere similar. I've found it's a good way to meet women. I'll look for a cute woman who's smoking, walk up to her with with a smile and say "Oh my God, is there anyway I could bum a cigarette?" Usually, they'll say "sure" and start to reach in their purse. If they seem resistant, I'll offer to buy them a drink in exchange for a cigarette (that'll usually get me 2-3 cigs).

I'll continue "I recently quit smoking, but I'm dyin' for a smoke right now." She'll usually say "Oh...if you quit maybe I shouldn't give you one?" I'll say "Actually, you're doing a service to humanity by letting me bum one...if I buy a whole pack, I know I'll smoke the whole pack. This way I can only smoke one." That usually gets me a laugh and light from her. If she still shows IOI, I'll continue to talk to her. I used Chantix to help me quit (the quit smoking drug), but it has some weird psychological side effects sometimes. So, I'll tell her about the Chantix and one of the side effects..."It said if you find yourself having unusually bizarre thoughts, call a doctor immediately". I then make a face..."I was thinking, um...how would I know?" That usually gets a laugh. If she isn't bright enough to laugh at that, I'll add "I should have called a doctor a long time ago".

From there we'll chat a few mins, give our names if we haven't already, I'll offer a drink if I haven't already, and I'll ask for a phone number. So far, I think I've gotten a phone number about 50-60% of the time I've asked.
