Ok, I'm taking this oral communications class, and I had to prepare a speech. My topic was about self-esteem and we had to talk about 2 personal experiences and include oral citations and what we learned as a result of the research on our topic.
Anyway, I get this idea to go up to random strangers (girls) on campus, and just practice my speech.
I was like,
"hi do you guys have a moment? If you'd be so kind as to give me 5 minutes of your time I'm looking for some help on my speech for my class and I thought it'd be a good idea to practice on strangers.."

and bam, instant DHV storytelling mode, nothing awkward or out of the ordinary.

"Hi, do you guys have a moment?" It is like asking to get permission to talk to THEM. They could easily say "No"
"If you'd be so kind as to give me 5 minutes of your time." Dude this is even worse! If you're having AA it's ok I guess, but you're using the "being nice" way. Too nice, it's like you've already been put in ljbf zone. You can DHV all you want, it's not going to help much.

"Hey guys, I'm looking for some help on my speech for my class. You guys look like exellent guinea pigs!" ... DHV.
Atleast, something like that.

yea, but this is just works great just for approach. If you do this there's no AA at all. I don't even care if they say no. Just walk away.

yea that's a good suggestion too, but why shouldn't you ask permission if they seem busy?

Because you are alpha and taking charge of the situation, that's why you don't ask for permission, don't supplicate to them EVER, remember that.

Yea, you don't really have to use these flashy lines, but the "If you'd be so kind to give me 5 minutes of your time" line sounds REALLY insecure. And I would definately go alpha male style.

depends of what he wants from the situation. A listner or a girl in bed.

well, depends on how you say it. and I was thinking of it as introducing a time constraint.
