Here are a couple interesting things worth noting and if your struggling with online dating you might find some inspiration too.
On POF there was a HB 8.5 and after sending her a message I got a "unread deleted" status on my message. You will often hear about how females constantly get 100s of messages online and are mostly there just attention whoring, etc.
To test a couple of theories I put 2 fake profiles up. The first one featured little to no game just the AFC stuff. I'm not gonna use my best shit on a fake profile. I used my buddy's pics because he is a workout guru and is what I consider very fit and attractive to women. I wanted to test the looks factor vs game for a first response so I sent the same girl a message quite ordinary with just a unique title so it would actually get opened. THE VERY NEXT MORNING I get a friendly message back from the girl that now sounds interested and she even put smiley faces and other bs in there.
Now I'm gonna test this with more ladies before I start judging anything because so far the "hot guy no game" profile has only been marginally more successful.
The 2nd profile I made was the kicker. I made a profile with my attractive lady friend's pics. Standard girl bullshit listed in profile, interests and info...shes a social worker... blah blah. Anyway I kid you not in 2 hours I had 70 views, 15 messages, and about 20 on the "meet me" list. All messages except one said "hi" or "hello" in the title.
For those of you struggling w/online dating sometimes seeing it for yourself by doing a little experiment can really help. Actually seeing it for myself in these two instances provided a lot of insight and could even help you with rejection online and in real life. I'll admit I even found myself thinking "wow if I was a female I would delete all these messages" and did.

A certain percentage of girls on online dating sites are there for the attention/ego boost. Most girls are going to be more on the shallow end of things as they really only got a picture to go by as most guys lie on their profile (hight is the number one thing).
