Gratuitous blocking is a violation of POF terms of use, but upon being notified of the gratuitous blocking, POF took no action. Nor did POF ever take action against racist and hostile emails from women, indicating some kind of gender bias to keep women on the site.

With the demise of Markus, POF owner in Canada, POF will be controlled by IAC in the US, subject to federal and state laws barring gender biased business transactions. See Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code §17200, 15 U.S. Code § 45. Now, POF will be subject to a breach of contract action in any state, for taking your money and deleting your profile. Now, the gloves come off.
