So I was on this app that involves buying and selling items on a personal level (not unlike classifieds but appwise). I was hunting for equipment for my sporting hobby.
I saw a pretty sweet deal and looked at the item description.
Note that when looking for such items in this field the sellers are mostly guys, and in my case all the time.
But how the item description was written made me suspect it was probably a chick, with a grand total of 2 smileys in 90 words triggering my suspicions.
The following exchange ensued.
Me: Hi! I'm rather interested in these! Just asking, I'm buying for all of the above, no partial buys right?
Me: Thanks!
Her: Hi. Yes, you have to buy the set. That's why I'm also selling it really low 
Me: Hmmmm guess I will have to try it out before I buy it out to be very sure!
Me: You're selling off quite a bit of your <related equipment> I noticed!
Her: Np. But only viewing it at <my neighborhood> if that's alright with you?
Her: Ah yes i don't think i'll be doing that sport soon.
Her: Those are good for selling as a package deal if you're interested
Me: Haha I'm just asking about your gear because I'm actually looking for <unrelated equipment>! Trying my luck by asking any ways...
Her: Aww haha. Ok 
Nice chatting though. Sorey don't have that.
Her: *sorry
Me: Don't the get wrong idea, still thinking about buying this. :p
Her: Yay!
Me: Where'd be a good place to meet up!
Me: Haha bro why so enthu over a buyer @_@ (trying to screen her for male/female identity)
Her: Sorry but only meeting up at <my neighbourhood> for viewing...
Her: Lol. I'm no bro, but dude is fine
*2 minutes later*
Her: Kidding. I'm a lady. Let me know when you decide to view
*4 minutes later*
Me: I mean like <your hood>'s kinda big... so exactly where to meet up. :0
Me: Oh my bad, usually when I deal with such gears it tends to be with me bros. Ok nvm you shall still be called 'dude'! (disqualification?)
Her: Haha sure dude, no prob
Her: <precise location>
Me: Guess not today then, but soon enough. Will let you know when I wanna look at these cuties!
Her: Sure. Thanks!
Meetups are common because it is a small town, so I don't see this as special.
However, have I made it too obvious that I screened for gender - how'd I do to establish rapport in general?
My objective for the meetup is to :
Meet up, build further rapport and ask if we wanna hang out sometime, with her consenting.
With this in mind, any help needed... with respect to the above text sequence?
