Here's a weird situation. I saw a girl on a dating that I met several times over the years at parties. We had some mutual friends. I didn't talk to her too much in those days (probably 7-10 years ago) but we were both "regulars" in that scene in NYC back then. We are not and have never been friends, just acquaintances, but definitely know of each other.
I can't give my usual approach and not acknowledge that we "know" each other and met in the past. Any suggestions on how to do this successfully?
Tanks to all.

And you both pretend not to remember each other for a few messages, then you suggest someone you will both know and then you'll vaguely remember each other and then you're in the game.
Ask her out for a drink.

anything casual
you have the right to message her because she is on a dating site _________________ those who say it can't be done should get the fuck out the way of those doing it

"Well, well, look who else is hard up for a date!" and go from there.
