From a woman's point of view - if I'm attracted to a guy I would not use the word "friend". I would keep it flirty and light, but "friend" is a definite steer in the platonic direction.
My advice...if a woman wants to play games and use "friend" as some sort of bait to try and make you show/do more to "convince" her - DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!
You shouldn't waste your time trying to convert "friends" into "more". Women know right away if they are sexually interested in you. If they're into playing games about that forget them.
Women don't speak in code ( ie say one thing and mean the opposite) - but they are always looking to see how much effort you will make to try and get them.
REMEMBER - their main game is getting ATTENTION not sex. Don't feed the fire. If they just want to be friends let them go.
