DESCRIPTION OF HIMSELF

Cool that you stopped by! Now you're of course wondering who I am, so let's get started.

*fanfare*

First off: my handicaps.

I'm left-handed, red-green color deficient and a B-person.

Surmountable, you say? Let's have a look at my hate objects.

I hate the arrogance of power, red lipstick, the sound of a buzzing mosquito in my ear when I try to sleep, and people who stand too close to the carousel at the airport.

And what do I like?

Laughter cramps and the feeling of being understood for the first time in a foreign language. I appreciate books that make me see the world in a whole new way, and maybe even change my life. Have you read such a book?

How about my personality?

I am a bit reserved in some contexts, but have no problems opening up for people that I like.

I am determined, but not reckless.

I am fond of challenges and setting new goals for myself. There's nothing like the feeling of mastering something you thought was impossible. Can you relate?

Philosophy?

I like to think, philosophize and discuss. Everything.

I think the meaning of life is to live happily. I also have my thoughts on how to get there.

I don't understand why people waste their lives trying to live up to the expectations of others.

I am an atheist and not particularly keen on marrying (at least not in church), but I know exactly how I'd propose.

WORK, RECREATION AND INTERESTS

I love traveling and outdoor activities. I prefer exotic destinations and adventures rather than getting drunk in Ayia Napa and Sunny Beach.

There's nothing like summer nights outdoors with good wine and interesting discussions. Barbecuing on one of the islets off the coast of X is not bad either.

Otherwise I like to keep myself updated on what's going on around the world, and I like to read about everything from philosophy and science to economics and history in addition to my studies. Preferably with good music in the background.

I enjoy a good party now and then, but I don't go overboard in terms of alcohol consumption. I prefer home parties to club parties. Otherwise, bowling, cinema and football matches good ways of spending quality time in with friends.

I also like keeping myself in shape with activities like cross-country skiing or jogging. Always open to try out new activities. I got my open water scuba dicing certificate last year, which was great fun. Soccer, swimming and kayaking are other activities that I enjoy.

I have lived abroad, and might like to do it again.

LOOKING FOR

First, what I'm not looking for. "Friends with benefits" -- or only "benefits" for that matter -- is not my thing. I'm interested in a relationship, but not the kind which is full of drama and turmoil. If you cannot deal with problems without running into bickering, backbiting and betrayal, please do us both a favor by not contacting me.

Well, enough negativity! So what am I looking for? Initially, I am looking for a mammal. It is an advantage if you can spell and are curious about the world around you. I like girls with integrity who know which values they hold and why. If you like to travel it's a big plus. I'm also glad if you can take a joke without beheading me.

The rest is open to negotiation;)

Take out the atheist part (too private, possibly can be a deal breaker for some girls)
and take out that "friends with benefits" part - it makes you sound like a total pansy - and from my experience, most of the girls I see who say "not looking for casual sex" are DTF and just trying to put on a facade

Thanks. I'll remove the "friends with benefits" part. In Europe everyone is atheist, so it's not a deal breaker.
