So this girl sent me a PM on a dating forum the other day. Although she's good at using smileys and winks, I think her messages are rather boring and lack some tension. She says she hopes I've had a nice day, asks me where I celebrate Xmas, tells about the beautiful nature where she lives, etc. I guess she's just a little shy. Is there a good way to open up such a girl?

I tried to direct the conversation into a more interesting direction by teasing her about being member of a religious sect (which her nickname might suggest), but I just got a "haha, not really ", and then she quickly got back to her boring questions again.

I think this is a matter of chemistry. Some people click and some people don't. Her manner of speaking online could first of all be completely different than in person and she may be interested in you without showing IOIs.

Recently I number closed on OKC with some girl who barely said two words. I was bored and said "I think we would be horrible best friends" and when she asked why I was like "We're way too similar, we would get so bored of each other" to which she replied "lol I highly doubt that" and then later was just like "you should give me your number" and she did with no hesitation.


I mean if you like her, hang out with her and keep it fun.
