On okcupid and sometimes POF too, I will open a chick and she will reply but she doesn't seem to put in that much effort to continue the conversation. How should I go about this? Example:

Me: I've never met someone with red eyes before (caused by camera)
Biology/Medschool is a neat field, what's your backup plan?


PS: Why lifetime movies vs. say netflix?

Her: Haha my eyes are usually blue. If I don't do med school, I want to get a doctorate in physiology and maybe teach a&p at a university. I love lifetime movies & netflix. I'll watch anything haha

Are they not very interested? I figure if they are interested they will respond which they have done but I'm not sure how to continue the conversation without asking too many questions. How do I respond in these situations in the best way that would guarantee they respond back and increase their interest?
