I love sarging but im not going to let it consume my life. Im going to take a while off to focus on getting the rest of my life in order. My cousin suggested working on an oil rig for awhile. I have no idea how to get into that but it sounds like itd be something id like to do for a while. If you have any ideas or if you think you can help me get into it hit me up man

You need some skill to work on an oil rig - you need to be a driller or someone who has a degree in finding oil and geology type stuff (I don't know much about it, but I have got a friend who has been working on various rigs since last September).

If you want to work on a rig for career purposes, go ahead. If you want to do it just to get away, you tend to have shifts where you only work two or three weeks and then are back onland for a while. So if all you want to work on an oil rig for is to get away from life for a bit, then you'd be better off just doing stuff like getting off the internet/your mobile, and if you haven't got work restrictions then go and travel for a few months or something like that.

My Uncle used to work on a rig. Actually he worked on them for 34 years lol. According to him you actually dont need any skills (Though obviously they do help) or experience to get into it. You just need to get your foot in the door which is the hardest part.
