Last saturday whilst playing football (soccer) I badly broke my leg (complete fracture of Tibia). Was in emergency surgery hours after to get a pin and some screws in it to hold the bone in place. Doctor says it'll be 6 months at least before im fit for any physical exercise, and reckons theres a strong chance i won't be able to play football upto the standard that I did before.

This has totally knocked me off balance (in more than one way :P ) as football, weightlifting and exercise in general are, and always have been a big part of my life. Im sat at home day after day, out my tree on painkillers with nothing to do. Has anyone here had an injury like this? If so, i'd love some advice on how to keep sane!

When something like this happens ,it's spirit's way of giving you an opportunity to review and rethink about your life so far.Have quiet time by yourself, the answer will come to you if you are ready for it which you may not like as it will involve life changes that entails coming out of your comfort zone.Take care.
