My cousin suffers from cerebral palsy and he's always been really depressed about his life. He doesn't have any friends other than me and he just came out of a relationship with a girl who was abusive towards him (She also had a disability) the only reason he stayed in the relationship was because he felt that she was the only girl who could ever love him. One day he just said he had enough of her abuse and left. I've been trying to get his mindset right by showing him stories of people who are actually is worse situations than him and are living happy lives because they don't let their disability or situation bring them down. It doesn't seem to be getting through to him and every day he seems to hate his life more. He's actually a smart guy, very entertaining when he's not down in the dumps, and is only really limited by his physical disability. We argue all the time because he feels like he can't attract women because they won't want him. No matter how much "inner game" I preach to him he just disacknowledges it and says that I just don't understand. I feel it's because he doesn't have any friends who can share his struggle and are in the same position as him who have a great outlook on life. I wanna help find him friends who share his struggle so he can have someone to talk to about it and he can feel like he's not the only one. Plus it would be even better for him to befriend an inspiring pua with a disability to help him understand that his disability doesn't have to limit him from finding a great girl.
