Seriously, I was in the chatroom last night after work and a little debate sprung up over what "solid game" was. What are the criteria that you meet in order to say you are a PUA? For me, it's basically just a success rate issue. Systems, methods, and philosophies change from person to person so I don't really see the point in saying you have to be good at X Y and Z to be good at pickup. If you are able to game a girl and consistently close, I think that is success.

Now when I said that I was asked what is consistent? Eh it's not a statistical thing where I track how I do like I am a pro athlete or something, but if I had to stick a number on it I would actually draw a comparison to baseball. A batting average of .300 in baseball is a mark where a guy is considered to be having a very good year, and I think it's a fair carry over to game. If you can close 30% of the sets you run, I think you're an adept PUA. Fact is some girls have boyfriends, or are just plain rude. Some guys may put the number way higher, but I'm realistic, and I know that there are factors you can't control or get around sometimes.

So, how do you define success in pickup?

When you get the results you want. Everybody has their own idea of what success is or what they want out of pick up.

In the typical sense of PUA, yeah you were bang on mate. All about the close.
