What have you learnt today, or do you THINK you learnt today?

Its a simple question, but requires reflecting your whole day, usually a small thing what suprised you came across the day

Trough the day, I usually have a lot of contact with people and when I'm not, I'm thinking about almost everything and sometimes I come to notice that I have learnt something new when talking to people or doing something

For example:
I went to a doctor, waited in the room for 15 minutes and my doctor arrived, she asked me if I'm okay with it if the student researches me. I agreed, we went to the doctors room and she researched me, when she sat behind the desk. I sat across her while she was writing stuff down and looking for stuff on her desk, I came to notice that she was nervous. Her hands were shaking lightly and she was kind-off desperatly looking for stuff.

Although this is a small example, I learned that its easy to read people and I should it do more, just for personal research how people act when their with me, or someone else.

I want to ask ya'll to share your 'Aha!' moments and post it here.

I realized how small a molecule really is, and while riding the subway I observed a house-fly, and made a rough estimate that there should be around 1000 quintillion (that's 10^21) molecules within that fly. (not considering polymers)
And indirectly, how large and complex organisms as ourselves are.

Then I considered the electrodynamics of chemistry. Such as why a surface of pure aluminium will look wet and shiny. (due to alumina, (aluminium oxide))

I learned the structure of Glucose,

And tried to understand the effect of GLU4 glucose-transporters, insulin and why fructose rushes into the cell regardless of insulin-levels.

I'm guessing this isn't truly engaging to anyone else, but those are the first things that struck me when I read the question.

There's also something about the superiority of derivatives on solving differential-equations, and the realization that it's difficult to get, and keep, an erection when there's other guys present, regardless of the number of women and how hot they are...

I learned that Gambler is the shit. Recruiting people to vote for this campus student government or w/e... Every fine braud that passes by, I gave them that smirk look - You look familar... Then I asked her if she voted... If they were hesitant I just went over to her... kino guided her to the voting area, and she voted. BAM! Got votes in for my peeps.

In a nutshell: Gambler the shit. Women like to be guided. (Obvious, I know)

I learned that dictator Moammar Khadaffi's name can be written 37 different ways... My friends challenged me to use it as an opener, but I haven't used it (sounds ridiculous too as opener :))
