I'm starting this thread because I just had like a 2 hour long discussion with my friends, and it was 3 against 1 (me), and we still haven't gotten to a conclusion... maybe I'm being the weird one... help me out here.

My opinion is that someone who's being perceived as a slut, is purely opinion based.


Wikipedia says, in short, that someone who's a slut is someone who is sexually promiscuous (meaning, having many sexual partners in the absence of any commitment).

Dutch Wikipedia says, that a slut is someone who has gone beyond the limits of what is sexually acceptable (In the eyes of the one who says the word).


Well I think that people should do whatever the fuck they want to do without judgment, so my limit of what's sexually acceptable is non-existent. No one can be a slut in my world, so sluts don't exist.

Also having "many sexual partners" is pretty vague... what's many? Some think 5 per year is many, some think 5 per week.


What's your opinion on this?



My friend's view are that a slut is "Someone who seduces men (and doesn't necessarily have sex) just for the love of wanting more cock." (i.e. every woman out there)

or "Someone who sleeps with some guy one day, and another guy a couple days later, and then another one a couple of days later..." (i.e. has an active sex life)



How this relates to pickup? If I can convince people to stop judging woman as sluts, they'll get laid more.

(For instance, if a girl likes you, and you keep rambling on about this girl named Suzy who sleeps around a lot, and how big of a "slut" she is. That girl is not gonna sleep with you any time soon, because she'll be afraid of you judging her.)

Unfortunately when I go clubbing with my group of friends, they always invite out a larger girl (not fat fat...but chubby).

She will 'hunt men'. Simply by walking up to men and whispering in their ear "do you want to fuck me?" I shit you not!!

But I wouldn't use the word slut. Women love sex more than men, they have needs too.

depends on what you mean by smuttiness. having sex with a lot of guys? everybody knows a girl like that. cheating? that is more of misleading your partner when you promise to be committed and you're not. we all know girls like that too. in fact, in one documentary I've seen, they said its natural for women to look for another partner in some periods of menstrual cycle, when hormones are rushing.

personally, i'd feel hurt if my gf cheated on me. even if this whole "commitment" thing is a social conditioning, I'd still be hurt. if she doesn't care about my feelings-makes it even worse. that simply meas that she is a wrong person for me.

Sluts do exist. In my opinion, slutty-ness isn`t just sexual promiscuity alone. There is another element to it...Confusion. Sluts, by my definition are women who can`t really distinguish relationships from sex. We all have known girls who have sucked and fucked multiple dicks in one night, yet have the audacity to wonder why no guy wants to put a ring on her finger...

The slut is the female opposite of the 'player'.

In my opinion this all comes down to insecurity. 'boohoo, I don't get laid and she is SUCH A SLUT'

Same goes for women calling men a player. 'boohoo, I don't think highly enough of myself so I need someone to worship me.'

Or visa-versa

But it's hard to pin-point where someone stands concerning promiscuity until you meet someone that sexually open.

This is my view :

When men use the term slut, it's either:

(i) as a defense maneuver to shield the ego from rejection, aka "oh, I don't even want her ... come on ... she's a total slut! ... ahem ... I have standards ... ... ..."

(ii) when they're talking with their friends, alluding to a woman who is likely to put out fast.

However, let's be fair here- it's not men who use this term against women. It's women who use it against each other. Men rarely call women sluts to their faces, or tell the woman's friends that she is a slut.

Women use words such as 'slut' and 'skank' and 'whore' against other women because these are reputation-killing words. And on the sexual market, a woman's reputation could make the difference between getting pumped and dumped, or getting the guy to commit.

i see sluts as women that are willing to lower their standards just to get some dick. i was at the gym and i saw a girl that i knew from high school who is decently attractive but then i remembered how many nasty guys shes slept with, which made me decide she was a slut.

That's not a reason to believe the slut-player paradigm. All that quote does is repeat a rhetoric without giving it any support.

When a woman is sexually free it's always a source of great debate, slut or not. Of course the same isn't applicable to guys. It's all connected to the myth of virginity, a woman's hymen is represented as the greatest gift of all, a proof of belonging to one man only, which in turn is the source of validation among men. Besides, every man likes to think how great he is for getting a girl who doesn't put out easily in the sack. For me, a slut is a girl who doesn't have any standards when choosing a sexual partner and/or a girl who cheats regularly. I wonder how you guys see a guy that sleeps around with not so hot women, women that most of you wouldn't even touch?

I guarantee it's either very desperate or very uncaring in who he has sex with. Or both.

It does tend to be women who use the euphemism " slut" against each other. True as Roz points out as a reputation destroyer against competition but also as a validation to themselves to avoid cognitive dissonance, to explain.....

We know as PUA's that women are attracted primarily to DHV's in men so if we see an HB all saucer eyed over a really rich guy we are apt to say to our buddys "As if she would give a shit about him if he wasn't loaded" because it makes us feel better inside.

An HB5 will look at an HB9/10 surrounded by men and say to her friend "What a slut" as if to imply the mens interest was based entirely on the girls promiscuity. This make them feel better inside on having no male attention themselves.

I have had this conversation with two HB5's myself about a an HB8 friend who is one of the lovliest girls you could ever meet whom they labelled "slut" because of the male attention : and one even said "I could have just as many men around me if I spread my legs as often as her!!" to whit I explained that "No you couldn't because you're not very nice as a person or to look at for that matter" Didn't go down very well if I remember correctly.
