To be honest, I haven't gotten laid in a good 6+ months. I just haven't had the desire to go out sarging much. This does not stop me from making improvements with myself though. I have some goals that I wanted to share and maybe it will give you guys some ideas as well.
1) Remain "clean and serene" by staying away from drugs and alcohol.
This is a huge goal of mine. This year, I started a 12 Step program through NA (Narcotics Anonymous), which emphasizes a desire to stop using drugs. I am much happier not having to be drunk or stoned all the freakin' time. Plus I have shown/felt improvement in almost all areas of my life due to this. Getting laid comes secondary to this primary goal in my own life.
2) Exercise more!
Usually I slack off a bit in this department and that could be one of the reasons I am not getting laid as often as I would like. I have a fairly nice little home gym going: speed rope, yoga mat, training bag with boxing gloves/wraps, Perfect Pushups, flat bench with adjustable dumbbells up to 70+ pounds each, a few exercise DVDs, Swiss ball, and a multitude of books on fitness stuff. Motivation is my main weakness though, but I do believe I am well on my way. Some useful sites that I go to often are listed here:

3) Motivate myself to acquire new and improved skills with my hobbies and knowledge
This is a big one. I play guitar and a couple other musical instruments such as the piano/keyboard and harmonica. Even video game skills provide me with a must needed break in between work and my other obligations. I am involved in Toastmasters International, which is a great club for public speaking and leadership skills. Their website is at:
www.toastmasters.org
In addition to these, I am actively studying topics such as personal finance, bookkeeping/accounting, and other areas of interest. I started on a couple classes through Emergency Management Institute as well to learn more about emergency management, but I have trouble motivating myself to do all the readings. I seem to have lost some of my study habits after graduating college and need to regain them. This will come with time.
4) Research and apply for other jobs
Go ahead and rip on me if you like, I enjoy my job... most of the time. I work at Walmart part-time as a cashier, which gives me some excellent experience on the clock and I have made some great friends there too. Working there also gives me time for other things, like Toastmasters, NA, and time to relax. I've been there over 3 years and make a decent wage for the area. I am feverishly soaking in as much information as I can as far as job hunting goes. There are numerous books out there that I have read on this subject and the more I learn, the more I move up the ladder.
I looked into graduate school, but it's expensive right now. Eventually, I might go for an MBA or graduate certificate in an area of business interest. For now, I am mostly looking into government jobs in the US, especially at the Federal level. My number one goal on this list complements this well. If you are going to have to pee in a cup for a job, you need to be sober/clean. The trick for me is to get to applying, so I probably will have to get on the phone more and just do it. I heard knocking on the door to a place you desire to work is a good idea too. That is how I got my current job.
I hope you guys can glean from my goals here and hopefully you can relate to some of them in your own life. Feel free to share your thoughts/goals. Thanks for reading.
