Heres the situation, Ive been busy reading 1000s of different posts and articles about PU that time has gone by fast, my birthday is coming up and an old friend of mine contacted me via FB, short message saying "HEY BRO, how you been?". She has alot of contact with my old friends whom all moved to a different city without letting me know, from past experience they were the sort of friends who would take advantage of me, after studying PU Im not sure wether I should respond to her message, I believe if I do respond she will be asking about my 21st, these words will soon travel through the great grape vine and BOOM I have the old circle of friends. Again after studying PU a part of me is saying respond and show them who you are now! but the other part of me is saying accept the past as is and move on to challenge myself.
(FYI when I was in the circle this girl is the gossip girl who put words in other peoples mouths, the feeling I get from her is off, she also play the nice girl card to get away with things)

The variable here is what does she (and the rest of your old friends) have to gain by coming to your 21st etc? At the end of the day it's just another party. If they want to go to that extent to come, they must have really shit lives. So it can't be just for the party - you must have some other value that they, or she, would like.

At the end of the day your mindset is wrong. The choice should not be - should i cut off my old friends or should i show them my new self.

Instead, it should be, this is who i am, and these are my beliefs. Would them coming fit in with that, and would I like them to come? If so, then go for it!

No one can bully you mate. There's nothing wrong with having them over. If they come, and they are pissing you off, just kick them the fuck out! It's your party, it's your house.

There is literally no need to give a shit about people who piss you off in life. There is an abundance of amazing people in the world. I have so many amazing friends, anyone who gives me the slightest bit of shit I just totally cut them out of my life. There'll be someone ten times as good as them to take their place. And this is why I only have positive people and positive feelings surrounding me.

You choose your reality. If you don't like it, change it :) x

Something I learned from my past was that they would only come to me if they need something

Yeah I do want them to come and I want to see them, but I dont want them to come only when they want something, I realise I never set the boundaries with them before. How should I start one now?

Thanks for your post really helped me out
