Even though most of us know that looks aren't a huge impact on our game I'm sure most of you still have some feature that you wish you could change.

Could be out of your control or maybe not. Doesn't matter.

If you want to show some confidence in yourself, be willing to have a little self deprecating humor once in a while.

When you make fun of yourself it shows that you don't give a shit and girls like that. As long as it's not something that's a DLV like greasy hair or smelling like shit. That's just gross.

Give it a try.

I can agree with once in a while... but any more than once in a few conversations, and you risk the chance of DLV. Saying that you're fat is objective... whether she thinks so or not and may demonstrate low self-esteem... Depending on your target, you may/may not in fact cock-block yourself... I only say this from a field experience stand point...

@Charm.. It's all about how you say it man. If I talk about how I'm fat in a negative way and how being fat sucks then yea it's gonna be a DLV. If I talk about my beer gut being a huge fuel tank for an amazing sex machine (heard that from Adam Lyons) then she's not going to look at it as a DLV rather then you being comfortable with who you are.

Lol well I'm not fat so I haven't taken the time to think of good fat jokes for me. Yeah that is kind of old as fuck too.

I'm just saying, if you aren't afraid to talk about your flaws than you're not going to be afraid of anything else either. Resulting in a huge boost in confidence.

I dunno, in my opinion you can drop the occasional joke about yourself, but it all depends on how you deliver it, and the kind of girl your talking to. Even your beer gut line might fall flat on it's face if the girl isn't that into you yet and you drop that too soon. Talking about your flaws is fine, if it's part of the convo. Obviously don't just start saying you don't like your old wrinkly stomach and you moobs or something out of no where. No chick will be down to hang around with that

Im sorry, but I see no point in demonstrating anything but confidence. If u joke about yourself, you...

A) Run the risk of coming off with low self-esteem.
B) Make her laugh AT you... Not necessarily WITH you.
C) Have a chance to build on your value.

BUT, if you dont make fun of yourself, you...

A) Keep the value w/o creating an underlying risk.
B) Demonstrate potential mating characteristics to a woman...Just like in nature.
C) Continue gaming under your own circumstances, instead of the possibility of giving her power in the conversation.

IF you continue to run the game you already have down, this never becomes an anti-influencial downturn.

Make sense?

it can work well if done right. like when girls ask me if im scared of breaking my nose boxing my reply is

'thats why i started. so i can get my beak set right' (i have a slightly hooked nose). shows im easy going. not bothered about it. hopefuly funny. + my nose isnt that hooked so i dont run the risk of them saying 'yeah its messed up'

I never, or very rarely, make jokes about myself, or put myself down in any way. This isn't to be confused with bigging myself up, modesty is also important. But putting yourself down unnecessarily is just shooting yourself in the foot. In my opinion it's a DLV even if it is delivered well and makes people laugh.

However, there is a lot to be said for being able to take a joke about yourself from someone else. If someone makes a dig at you for being fat, or some feature about yourself whether you can help it or not, the way you react can instantly change what people think about you. Getting offended or upset is a sign that your frame isn't strong enough, and this is unattractive.

i agree, its not DLVing unless you do it TOO MUCH.. and making fun of yourself kinda creates that comfort you want with girls. its also more about understanding your own flaws and how you dont care if you have them or not.

Sometimes I tell 1 story that always makes girls laugh.

It's about me doing carido outside with a buddy and how I wasn't looking where I was going and I ran into a pole hard while running at full speed. Felt like a bus hit me... Etc. I try and make it sound more epic then it was.

Do you guys think that is DLV? I don't really see it as that in my opinion.

There's is a fine line between making fun of yourself with confidence, as a "I know my flaws, but I don't see them as flaws" kinda of way
and Making fun of yourself in a "You see I know I have flaws so I'll be the first to make fun of me and be done with it" way
