Are hickeys good for DHVing?

I ask because on one hand a girl could think this raises your social value.
On the other hand it could show that you might be a slut.
I also just got one so this just got me thinking.

I would think showing hickeys would be a bad idea. Girls want to feel special and unique to you.
Showing that you have been with another girl in the past few days would not make them feel that.
