I listed in my post "Real Ultimate Power" that if you had problems dealing with the pain of failure, you would have difficulty succeeding in pickup.

Here's how I dealt with my latest failure: probably my most spectacular ever, I invited 10+ people to a bonfire and no one arrived, basically because I was shitty at communicating plans and they never got back to me.

After it, I felt fantastic. Why? Because failure is better than success.

Success makes you complacent. It dulls your skills. Failure, on the other hand, is wonderful, because you know you're succeeding.

It's annoying as hell when you're not making progress, and you just stand still. When you fail, you know you're making progress. So, really, every failure is a success.

Next time you fail, start clapping and cheering at the top of your lungs. You're a step closer to victory.

'I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.'
-Michael Jordan

This is NOT just pickup, this is ANYTHING you ever try to succeed at in life.
