I just feel like a lot of techniques are becoming outdated and natural game is becoming more effective and may become popular in the future. PUAs like gambler and Carlos Xuma are becoming more popular, focusing more on inner game.
Well, I think that it is because the people of the forum start developing their skills. This happens all the time. As you progress you start focusing on inner game. This is really when the journey starts. Outer game and routines can only take you so far.
Natural game is not the same as inner game. I mean, inner game is useful, (Required) for all game. You cannot skip it. Indirect game as well.
When you say that some techniques are outdated it is because you are talking about routines right. I mean, yes, if something is overused it loses its allure but that is our own decision. Most of us on this forum wouldnt use the "80s dogs opener" just because it is boring. I mean we are sick and tired of it and we have alternatives so why do it.
As for negs, yes, at a certain stage of your game you wont need it anymore. A neg is for troubleshooting, if you have shown too much interest or if your value isnt high enough you use the neg. But if your game is tight enough, those problems never arise so you dont need it. Thus, outdated if your game is good.
But the principles of gameing like indirect and direct are the same, they wont change. So dont despair, the stuff you are learning can still be used.
Oh and, just because people bash the MM, it doesnt mean that it is useless, it just means that those guys dont need it anymore and think that it is fun to charge the man on top...
