So I saw an optical illusionist in the field today. He wasn't doing magic tricks- these were more of optical illusions with a single item. I actually found one prop of many that tricks the eye. It is an absolutely incredible item to say the least. Not only was there a crowd around this guy doing some cool tricks, but there are always crowds of people around anyone who does similar illusions.

I am still amazed by this and I actually learned myself how to do some of the tricks. I just like the feeling that I get when I see an amazing trick and I know other people would get the same feeling if I showed them it.

How would you recommend carrying an item the size of a fist around? Also, would it be lame to randomly bring up the trick in conversation? How would you bring it up?

I think carrying a prop around would only make you look desperate, but maybe it's just me.

Performing monkeys also get people's attention. That doesn't mean you have to wear a monkey costume.

Nothing to do with getting laid. I can do very well without it. It is just becoming a hobby of mine. Again, it is NOT magic, just some optical illusions. I am not doing it because mystery does it or any other PUA does it. I am interested in it because it amazes me.

What are you pretty passionate about in life? A job? A hobby? A sport? If you cannot answer this question, you are going to fake your way through pickup. I might as well get really interested in optical illusions to answer this. I am also really interested in things such as arts and music. Kind of fits my personality. Anyway, Agreed that optical illusions wont get you laid, however, your knowledge and passions in life might. It shows that you aren't a loser with nothing to do.

I would only take it with me to places where I am casually dressed as well (ex. maybe a party). I wouldn't take it to clubs or bars. That is lame.
