| Hey... I have been thinking. And reading. Thats not a good sign is it.
It started out like this. I am not religious, but many of the old "religious" books have a lot of good stuff to tell us. I always wondered how they became so popular. How did they get the crowd to follow?
At the same time I started checking some small (and troublesome) political parties from my home country. Those guys has terrible ideas and are a bunch of losers, but still people vote for them.
Enough background. So I started thinking, what do these guys have in common. One with high moral standards (in theory) and one with racistic tendencies (terrible morals). They both get people to listen to them and agree, even follow.
I realized that they have 2 things in common.
1. Communication.
2. Unification.
1. Communication. These people talk in a way that people understand. They go down on the level of the man on the street. Like 2000 years ago in Jerusalem or in the countryside of my country 1 day ago. They talk to people and find a way to communicate. A way to connect that says, hey Im one of you and you are one of us. You understand me and I understand you. No problems. They can inspire emotions in their "victims" and do so very convincingly. Thanks to communication. In Jerusalem 2000 years ago the man on the street wasnt well educated like people are today. They couldnt read, do meths and shit like that. Still the priests or holy men or whatever managed to communicate. They did so by telling stories. They DHVd!
Telling a story about a holy man doing something that people can understand. Telling symbolic stories about his adventures. Not all people can see reason but all of us are inspired by a good story. Thats why people like to go to the cinema. (On a related matter, why do you think people take girls to the movies?)
Same thing with the politicians of the little scary party. They go down to the man on the street not saying stuff like. "We promise to raise the number in paragraph 12 by 0.03 percent." They go down to the people saying, hey I know how it is to be there, sucks doesnt it. Man, that shit, it happened to me like a year ago, heres what happened...
2. Unification
Basically, everyone wants to be party of the winning side. Therefore, we must invent sides. It may be another football team, the devil, people of a different culture, parents, mystery method users, star trek fans, the kids from that other school... the point is, they are not us. They are them. We are us. So there is 2 different sides. Naturally, since we are the best they are the worst. Hey, we got a common enemy.
Heeey, man, oh sorry I mistook you for one of those other guys who wanna join the devil and spend eternity burning in hell. What, you dont wanna join the devil and spend eternity burning in hell? We have so much in common, we should hang out and be best friends, here have a sip of wine and a dry piece of flat bread. Plus you also signed up for being on our side, cool? Cool.
See, so how does that relate to PU?
Well, that is the way to win someone over.
Find a way to communicate. Find out in what way she communicates and adapt. Talk to her in her language. If she is a visual girl, do visual stuff, if she is logical, use logic. Go wrong here and she will not get emotionally involved in the conversation and that gentlemen is exactly what we wanna do. Get her emotionally involved. Girls are emotional creatures, if we can touch them emotionally, we got them right where we want them. Again, why do you think people take their dates to romantic comedies?
And, make her feel that she is gonna be better off on your side. I personally dont like that with us or against us mentality... But most people follow that anyway. Show her what ways you are similar and why she fits better on your team than in some other team. She will go for what she feels is best for her.
Similarities to you, differences to others.
I hope I inspired some thought in some of you.
