You're assuming we all sarge at clubs though. So that point is moot.

I think it's more of attaining positivity from the music. Notice how noone put Bright Eyes as their pick. If the music puts you in a good mood, that's all you need for a good sarge. If you're on the so-called nimbus, you have good confidence, good vibes, and an overall positive aura. Music you enjoy and get off on will help you get there.

It's also good if you have a consistent playlist. From the psychological point of view, music is a way to trigger emotions. Like not wanting to hear a certain song after you break up with a girl, hearing a song you enjoy can put you in a positive state of mind.
