| Core confidence is vital. It is the heart of a PUA. The sad truth is people so often overlook it (including me). Scripted routines, openers, and all this stuff works. We know that, it does work if your goal is only to just aimlessly sleep with random women (hey, thats not a bad goal - but don't you want something MORE than just to sleep with a bunch of women?). But there is something deeper that needs to be developed in order to become 'natural'.
Style coined the term 'social robot' in his groundbreaking book The Game, which I would say 90% of you have read, and if you haven't you should read it. This is the result of shell training, or putting on a PUA mask and learning scripted routines and openers. It works for the shallowest of goals, but you yourself don't change. The reason most people get into this whole thing is because something wasn't working for them - either they were lonely, weren't getting results with women, had no friends, were bullied or disliked or whatever the reason. They got into this to change, and this does nothing.
In RSD's Blueprint, Tyler talks about Core Confidence vs. Situational Confidence. In a nutshell, situational confidence is that high you feel when your with your friends or people you feel comfortable with, your outside your head, you talk with confidence, feel your charisma, your social power, feel your identity and who you are. That's situational. But what about when you are in an 'uncomfortable' situation? Like at a club where you know no one? Or with a group that is AMOGing you?
This is where the importance of Core Confidence comes in. Tyler tells us (sorry if these Tyler quotes are getting excessive) that THE SELF IS ALWAYS COMING THROUGH. In other words, the core, that is YOU, is always visible - you can't hide it with some shell. You have to work from the inside out, not the outside in. You make changes to your core, your inner self, and it will gradually work its way out to the way you present yourself, your 'shell' or first-impression self.
I know many people on this site and others are voicing their opinions on this and encouraging this exact statement to be adopted. This is just my 2 cents on the matter.
