One big problem that many aspiring PUAs on this forum have, is the lack of individuality. This is something I have noticed a lot in the questions I read on the forum, or questions I see presented on the chat.
Many guys expect that the books written by MPUAs such as Mystery, Gunwitch, Vincent DiCarlo etc to contain all the answers they need to get infinity lays or to charm the woman of their dreams.

Sorry to break it to you guys but this is not the case, no PUA has all the answers, because guess what, your personality matters in your game!
Don't underestimate the importance of your own personality and individuality in your game!

If you read just one book (it's commonly MM) and follow it like your bible, your range will be very limited and your skill set will be small.
If you spend weeks on cramming tons of books by all the PUAs know as masters, you eventually lose your personality and you will become a pick up robot, no girl will be charmed by this.

Your style should be your own! But getting advice from the masters is a great way to develop and improve your own style!
For example, David DeAngelo's books contain great material for turning boys in to men and develop an alpha male persona, but Davids pick up advice is very limited.
Mystery gives a lot of pick up advice, but in my opinion, most guys who follow MM appear as very beta, so for example, to take out the best parts of both Mystery's teachings and David DeAngelo's would give you a wider range.

If anyone who reads this has studied philosophy, you may have read about german philosopher H.G. Gadamer and his Hermeneutics, he gave me a great insight in how to really read texts and interpret them.

We all have prejudices that we can't get rid of, but if we understand THAT we have them, WHAT they are, and WHY we have them we can read any text with an open mind! The important thing is to break down what we read in to pieces and put it together ourselves, and by doing this, any book can provide different meanings to different individuals.

So go ahead, read a lot of PUA books, find the gems in them, apply them to your own pick up style but forget the useless fill out material.
If one MPUA cracked the ONE code for how to get any woman in to bed, all the others would soon disappear and forums like this would not exist!

As an example, I can give you my own background, I have now developed my own unique style of pick up, and I'm developing and using my own methods.
But, when I began, books by these three authors helped me out a lot, Vincent DiCarlo, David DeAngelo and Ross Jeffries. I never use their approaches word by word, but by mixing their teachings and blending it in to my own success cocktail, I was able to get started!

But most of all remember that becoming a good PUA takes more infield practice that theory!

I come from a more experimental school of pick-up learning. My personal philosophy on it is this: read everything you can get your hands on that relates to the art, and then try ALL OF IT. Keep the things that work really well, refine the parts that work "alright," and ditch the stuff that doesn't work at all. You can't tell from looking at a technique or routine or pattern or whatever whether or not it will work in the field. You need to actually try them, even if they go entirely against your natural inclinations in social interactions.

Also, take a few improv courses. No matter what they tell you in the books, it doesn't compare to the ability to think on your feet, react to any situation creatively, and apply the base components of a pick-up theory in a new and unique way. This, I think more than anything, is how your own personality shines through in your pick-up; learn the basics from books, bootcamps, personal coaching or what-have-you, then learn how to riff on those concepts in a unique and interesting way.
