If youre ever out somewhere and you dont have your mobile phone on you...learn to remember numbers.

....i used to do this a few yrs back before i even came across pick up. i would ask for their number, they would ask me how on earth i was going to remember their number and that i was clearly not going to call them as i would forget it (this is great in itself as it keeps them in suspense).... i tell them i have this 'special skill', and that i will re-sight their number to them in the next hour to prove it to them. and i did...it gets a great reaction every time. they feel special...

it really is a cool thing to be able to do and she will remember for you for that. it also keeps her in suspense wondering if youre going to remember her number for the duration of the entire night as she knows you will probably be drinking etc. when you DO eventually call the following day (or when ever), its a pleasant surprise and she will welcome it with open arms.

I don't think I've ever been without my mobile phone... Imagine that's the same for a lot of people

can you not just keep it in your head until you walk away from her then just go and write it down so that when you go up to her later you can have a read of it?

not always...i have a few guy friends (and girls) that dont take their phones into a club. youre right though it is definitely the exception. the main reason (which I didnt mention) is if your phone battery dies...and THIS is common.
well you dont want to go up to her with a piece of paper and read it to her like some looney tune (if thats what you mean), rattling it off the top of your head is what you would do. its really no biggie, its juts a sweet touch you can add if your phone is not with you or not functional. you can learn to memorize a phone number pretty quickly using basic mnemonics, its not rocket science.

something that just came to me now....just before leaving a 5 set, you ask each of them for their number one after the other and tell them youre super man or some shit and have a built in electronic phonebook (something fun), as they each say their numbers you memorize....you come back to them an hour later and repeat each girls number to each relevant girl....im pretty sure that would get a great reaction. In addition to that, youve just number closed 5 girls at once

nahhh man i meant like just read it then put it away again...don't read it to her...thats not impressive at all haha. but yeah learning 5 numbers for any amount of time is impressive!
