I was over at a friend's house, nothing special, and he offered me a chair (I have very little furniture in my apartment). I agreed. Of course I want it! Every time I came over to his place, that was MY freaking chair!

Anyway, I go to take it, and there's his wife's scarf sitting in it. "I'm totally wearing this out tonight with you guys," I said.

She stole it from me, "Not this one, you're not!"

Not really giving it much thought, I took the chair and loaded it into my truck. But we're going out for dinner and a movie, me, them, a friend of mine.

His wife produces a pink scarf, with TASSLES!

"I'm totally pimping this shit! I'm wearing this out tonight!"

We get to the pizza place and my friend says he won't sit with me because he'd be embarrassed, so I took the scarf off.

I had to do it again at the movie theater. HOWEVER, when we got out, I threw the scarf around my neck and I was THE SHIT in my own mind. "There's people over there staring at you," my overly conscious friend said.

I look over and wave, turn back to my friend, then on second thought, turn back around and give the 'gay wave' where you just let your hand go limp.

THEY ATE IT UP. A dozen people cracked up and laughed with me because I didn't give two shits that I looked queer as hell and loved it.

I'm buying a pink scarf. With tassels. And glitter, if possible. End of story.

Gay stereotyping isn't funny at all.

Actually it can be if it is done right. You just have to time it right and deliver it right for it to work.

No, it's called being a bigot. But if you are gaming women who are also bigots, then you are correct.

You can take peacocking in two different ways:

1. Stylish and look good
2. Or what you and Mystery are doing, overboard weird shit.

Honestly, whatever works for you, works for you. I tried the whole gay thing, I also wore stuffed animals as earrings, and most of the weird shit just made me look like an assclown. Yeah it's fun, but it doesn't get you laid.

Dude stfu. I have dozens of gay friends, and plenty of them fit the stereotypes, and some of those stereotypes ARE funny, especially the poofs. They make fun of it, we make fun of it, there is nothing bigoted about poking fun at the truth.

Or what, is Eddy Murphy a bigot because he makes fun of his big black zebra bitch from africa? Should David Chappelle burn in hell because he dared to play stereotypes in his comedy, both black and white?? Do you have ANY idea how popular "Will and Grace" is amongst the gay community?

Take your overt political correctness and cram it, it stifles real life and belongs in a totalitarian society.

I'm going to actually do you a favor, and explain to you what it really means to be a bigot, since you obviously never sat down and thought it carefully thru yourself.

We will start with stereotypes. They are generalizations that hold for a large group of people collectively, but cannot be used to template people on an individual basis. Stereotypes DO exist, they have a basis in reality, in fact insurance companies would be more or less bankrupt if they couldnt depend on them. Ever wonder why you pay more in car insurance than your sister? Because young men get in more accidents, thats why. You might be a better driver than your sister, but the chances are low, so you pay the bills until you can prove it. Insurance companies are bigoted by necessity.

A bigot is a person who incorrectly applies these stereotypical templates to all applicable individuals, or who accepts patently false stereotypes as the truth, usually along lines of race or sexuality.

So you could have the true stereotype that men, by far, tend to be physically stronger than women, and then you could have some kind of bigot (we would call him a chauvenistic pig these days) who believes all women are therefore weaker then men. Oh. You are a woman, you must be weak.

Making fun of the fact, thru imitation, that "poofs" do in fact wear gaudy clothing and have very feminine hand gestures isnt making the statement that ALL gay men act and dress in this manner, thus it is in no way bigoted.

So please, if you dont know what you are talking about, just keep your mouth shut. You aren't saving anybody... /end rant

ts called making fun of a stereotype. Comedians do it all the time. And so do I. If you think I am a bigot then thats fine by me as I know I am not.

You're an idiot. Ignorance breeds violence. If we ever want to get over bigotry towards homosexuals, we have to get rid of these stupid stereotypes and people like CharlieO thinking that simply by acting gay they can get laughs.

And thanks for the essay on bigotry. I skipped over it, because it's obviously not worth reading.

I actually really don't care, i'm just playing around CharlieO. I just enjoy trolling every once in a while.

Is your name actually Charlie? If so, that's at least one thing we have in common.

Anyways, happy hunting.

both get attention for sure., but. . . which one is positive attention?

imagine a guy walking in an everyone looks, "oh hes wearing fighter goggles, THATS WHY everyone is looking" or a guy walks in looking stylish and good and every one looks . . .
