1) If the girls think you're a little gay at first, that's actually a good thing. It's a disqualifier that makes them feel more comfortable that you're not just trying to hit on them.
2) Seeming a little bit fruity improves your appearance in other ways. Gay men, rightly or wrongly, are perceived to have a better sense of fashion than straight men. If you seem queer, then you might also seem dressed better than you are.
3) If you're going to overkill, it's probably better to overkill in the direction of being too well groomed. You definitely don't want to look merely average. Do you really want to go to the opposite extreme and be ultra grungy?
4) It's DIFFERENT. Different is good. If you know how to work it right, you can be different in any way you choose, as long as it keeps eyes on you. _________________ Some vices miss what is right because they are deficient, others because they are excessive, in feelings or in actions, while virtue finds and chooses the mean.

Men are expected to keep their nails trimmed and clean, it's good hygiene and a sign of masculinity. If you have obviously manicured nails then yeah, it's overdoing things a bit... but if that's your bag then why should you give a shit about what people think? If you wanna do something then do it. Personally, I don't do anything special. I wash and condition my hair every day, and have to moisturise my face otherwise my skin would be all dry and flaky - and that shit just isn't nice. Nobody ever asks if I moisturise, cos my skin just looks normal. You're worrying way too much about what people will think if you take a little extra care of yourself when they don't even notice, much less care.

Get your hair trimmed up ever couple weeks....nothing look worse then bad hair.
Go to the tanning Salon once every week or two. You dont want to look like oily pool cuban pool boy so dont over do it! but you want a little color so you look healthy....what is the first thing women look for in a man? health.
Buy some tweezers for that una brow...If you have bushy brows then clean them up. Agian dont go over board but no women wants to look at un groomed eye brows.
Shower before you go out....I shouldnt need to tell you this but for those who dont know women so care about how you smell lol
If you have yellow teeth go get them whitened....Agian the first thing a women looks at is how healthy you are and yellow teeth do not look healthy.
