"When I was your age, I didn't have money... I had to draw the presidents on the paper myself"
Be careful if you're going for making it a DHV, so that it doesn't come off as disqualifying to whatever troubles the HB might be going through at the moment. You know, so that you don't go "When I was younger...." etc. after she has made a statement about how she has trouble getting enough together for something she wants/needs. That can be seen as arrogance.
It could be better for comfort building, I think.
Hell, it can even make a good thing to admit as an insecurity.
After reaching Comfort zone, that is.
Letting her know that you haven't always had it easy with money, and you're therefore careful now about letting people know, and then you can go into the example about how that girl you knew suddenly got interested when she found out you now had money and so on.
But hey; Good going.
"I'm very proud of you"... (C&F

)
Anyway that's my take on the situation.
hope it helps.
