Like too many aspiring PUA's I read too much too fast when I was getting into it. (I also was in an LTR that we both knew was coming to a close, I was preparing for when it did). Add to that a lack of a job (though I've tried like hell to get one) and moving to a small town with all too few HB's and I lacked the motivation to approach - I get lost in logistics or decide she's not hot enough - either not worth my time or my negs wouldn't go down too well, so I lack practice. That said, it's been too long since my last lay and my standards are beginning to drop so I have actually begun approaching more, ignoring the logistics and just going for practice - it's true that letting go of expectations makes the whole thing easier.

Anyway, I'm brilliant at the theory of PU; I don't do NLP but in any other field I can spout theory out of my ass, and I tend to come up with openers/negs/routines/solutions to problems and jot these down many times a day. If anyone wants a contact who is good at theory, feel free to drop me a PM and I'll give you my number so you can text when an issue arises, and I'll keep you updated on my progress.

I am in a similar situation to you live in a fishing village of about 400 people there are 3 or 4 girls in the village (I have counted). Your best bet is to travel to a bigger town/city, if it is a long way away you will want to make the most of the time so hunting for wings online would be a good idea.

Also don't get too bogged down in remembering what you read, the good stuff you will remember the rest will disappear.

Final point I am a firm believer in not practicing PUA on unattractive women, it is like practicing your kung foo on a one legged guy. It will teach you to interact and what works and what doesn't but it is by no means the be all and end all, when you see an amazing girl all the AA will come back if you have only practiced on girls you find unattractive.

I don't actually ever practice PUA on the unnattractice ones. I practice being a likeable and attractive person, but not actual pick up. There are SOME attractive girls in Scarborough, just not many and these are the ones I tend to want to practice one when I get lost in logistics.

I find that there is a lot you can gain from talking with less attractive girls also.

Earlier, when I was trying to develop my skillset fast, I ran into issues because I would chode off all night, and then when I saw a girl that I actually wanted to approach, I'd be all in my head and it would never go well.

What I do now, and what seems to work best for my students is to start getting social RIGHT AWAY>

Get into that social head space and build momentum, so when you see that hottie later in the night, you'll already be in a good mood to go approach her.

The other benefit is that if your only goal when approaching early in the night is to get social, you have no outcome. And since you don't care what happens in the interaction, you shouldn't have much anxiety.

Who cares if you get blown out, you were just trying to be social anyways...
