I recorded some in field audio and shit, and my voice just sounds so nerdy, and like plugged up...


but i dont know why, and i was wondering if anyone knew some good ways to work on my voice?

breathe deep into your belly times. breathe as deep and slow as you can. relax all your muscles. now talk.

everyone's voice gets higher and reedier when nervous because the muscles around the throat tighten up. relax with breath, and your voice will sound deeper and more attractive.

I used to sing in a metal band and I know that my voice is deeper and has more character now than before I got into it. Pretty much I raped my vocal chords. You can do this too! If your in your car, or home alone, or just dont care if people think your crazy, scream and yell in "bursts" for like 20 seconds at various pitches (more than this you may get light-headed). Do this every now and then. Put some real emotion in it. Your voice will change, lower, scratchier. You can lose your voice if you over do it, but the more you stretch your chords, the more range you will have.
