she was no different, asked me to pick her up from school. I knew she was 16 then, so I said ya sure whenever. Not really intending to pick her up ever. She kept asking so I just picked her up. We hung out and actually had a pretty good time.

I picked her up from her house a few days later because we were going to go fishing with some of the guys, she had to be home in 20 minutes, so we just went to the park.

Apparently she doesn't think it's bad to date an older guy. I'm telling her she's crazy and it's aganist the law.

I tell myself I need to stop hanging around her, so I go out and have sex with 7 different girls over the next 2 days just to get her out of my head.

didn't work. she really likes me, but even if i touch her she can say it was sexual assault. I have no intentions of having sex with her, or even kissing her.

She just brings me back to my highschool days when I would work 48 hours a week to pay for a BMW. Which I finally got, but missed out on my entire highschool life, and for some reason hanging around her brings me back to my childhood.

And she's so innocent, no hang ups, no bad experiences with any guys, just no baggage good or bad relationships.

She asked me to pick her up from school tomorrow, and I agreed, and her cousin confronts me, and tells me I can't hang out with her, that's she's too young. sooo i still want to be a positive influence on her, I guess I'll just be "busy" when she calls for a week and she'll probably forget about me.

Just because I don't always follow the law doesnt mean it is justified if I break it in another way. Worshiping the law or not, I am bound by it. I don't disagree with your point that it has to do with the girl, not the age. The first girl I pulled in after my ex was 39. She was crazy. My ex, who was a very down to earth girl, started dating me at 18 (2 weeks after her bday... ripe baby).

Nevertheless, it takes only one slip of the dick to get yourself in serious trouble. With STDs, accusations of rape, etc. out there, I caution adding another element into the mix.

I say so with some hesitation, but the dark side of PUA (addiction, stds, etc.) are not discussed enough.

All I can say is too bad you're not in Canada, cause 16 is perfectly legal. Though I personally wouldn't date a 16 year old, at least if a chick lies about her age I cant be charged!

Tough situation man, but the law is the law and the worst thing is that it's still statutory rape, whether is consentual or not. I just got done working with a guy that just got out of prison for having sex with a 16 yr old when he was only 19. The grandma turned him in and he ended up getting 15 yrs, he got out after 8, but still he's in his late 20's now and has nothing to show for it. I guess all I can say is be careful, and don't let grandma catch you.

Because it's illegal and there are serious repercussions for showing blatant disregard for the law.

In rare instances, just because something is illegal doesn't mean that it's wrong. But nonetheless, there are laws for it, and whether it's right or not shouldn't dictate if the law should be followed or not.

Personally, I see no problem with it. I'm also not the guy in charge. Stay away man... unless you have nothing to lose. It's your gamble.

Now, I have my opinion on this topic, as does everyone else. My opinion is irrelevant. I do have something to say about the law though.

It really depends on where you are located. One of the places I've lived has laws pertaining to statutory rape that are very different than they are in other places.

It was something like, if one person is over the age of consent (18 there), then it's statutory rape. However, if there is less than a 4 year age difference, it is no longer statutory rape. That means, that if you were 18, then 14 is still acceptable in the eyes of the law. You're 19, then 15 is OK. Many view that as gross/disgusting/wrong/etc., but it was still legal.

There are also some other interesting laws that can be pulled into this, a lot of which are stupid, useless, and make things much more complicated than they need to be, but relevant none the less.
