I made a playlist with a bunch of various music I really like, as well as some suggestive stuff like Strip Tease by Hawksley Workman, Here in My Room by Incubus, Let's Fuck by Dope (lol). I can put it on and it's fine.
I also didn't feel like always listening to the same stuff, so I tried listening to the various playlists I have and it really didn't seem to affect it much aside from whether the girl didn't like the music. If she just couldn't get into the music, then it was harder to get into the mood, but once things got rolling, then it wasn't a factor anymore. I was with a girl that likes Marilyn Manson and so I tossed Manson and some Orgy on, which worked just as good as stuff that she didn't love, but that she didn't hate.
Personally, I thought music would be a bigger thing, especially because I'm a huge music lover and I generally prefer women that also love music. Instead, I find as long as she doesn't hate the music, then it really doesn't matter, just pick something that you both can enjoy and don't spend forever going through your collection with her (unless she's really interested), because then you look try-hard to please her and make things perfect. Once you start having sex, neither of you are gonna be listening to the music anymore anyways (unless you accidentally hit Random and you get some Britney Spears in there

).
