I guess this is obvious but if there is anyone out there like I was until recently with a cheap phone wondering & resistant to buying a nice one, maybe it will help them take the plunge. Just invest in a nice phone & get it over with if you can.

I had never been into cell phones or texting mainly because I had no reason to, but getting into pick up & meeting people now & meeting girls 25 & under especially, you really have to be IMO, & I think they put a lot of stock on your phone. I previously had a track phone, & have upgraded now to a blackberry. Since I got in the game I have had this suspicion that when I took out my cheap phone that was a DLV that would result in flakes after which sucked when you had done the hard work & ran the game.

My first night out with my blackberry I think confirmed my suspicion & not only was I confident number closing was an easy DHV that a couple girls opened me with just to talk about by my phone. Both times I had it out taking photos of my friends.

One girl was like "hey that's my phone" & took hers out got us into a conversation that was easy to stack on. I was like cool you should let me call your phone & set up a play date for our phones. Easiest number close ever & made it easy to call & joke on & mention our phones. I already see it's worth the investment, & when I went out sarging by myself Sunday I was able to look busy if I started stalling, pull up my PUA notes on the Internet. Get a nice phone guys.

OH snaps...I have to second that thought. I had a chipped up phone that was in the process of being replaced and a chick I met once before had taken my pic...she was trying to put her number in my phone and immediately felt the scratches on it...hahaha...she had this face of ..."damn, should I really give this guy my number?!"

Hahaa, im screwed SPAM then, Im walking around with a nokia 3210 hahaa my old phone broke :/ it was a samsung U600 in purple and i had swapped the battery cover for a pink back, you wouldn't believe how much this peacocked haha..

I don't think cell phones are that much of a DHV really. Because with all of the cell phone deals and what have you its quite easy to get an expensive phone like a Blackberry for free or heavily marked down.

Being cheap (heck I had an outdated trac phone) I researched this for a week before buying to figure out what exactly I wanted. The expense I found wasn't buying the actual phone, but the plan with it you have to buy to get the phone on a provider. The phone is expensive retail but was relativly cheap because they cut the price with rebates because they know you have to sign a contract with them. I couldn't get a nice smartphone on any provider without the data pack which is the internet of course. This is about 25 bucks a month extra. So if you have one, generally you will be paying 25 or more extra a month I guess than the average cell phone user to carry it.

Not saying you have to have a nice phone or try to impress with one, but in my case I really think having a crappy poor's man phone didn't help my game & result in flakes.Lets behonest some people are shallow & it's just a hurdle you give yourself to overcome if you are being cheap like I was. Sad thing is as I got more numbers & used it more, a pay as you go phone is not cheap because they charge you a lot more per minute/text, so I needed to get a decent plan anyway.

One of my HB friends once joke on me told me "I had a trac phone.....in 8th grade". That kind of told me it could be a deal breaker. Just saying at least get away from that cheap stigma, when you get better & get numbers & talk more you'll need to upgrade anyway. Remember they likely see your phone before your, car or apartment. So IMO that's a big deal getting you to higher levels & as far as investments & a cheaper one you likely will be judged on early. We pay for nice clothes, & peacocking items to help advance us. I think of this as a similar investment in my hobby of pick up.

and lately, since i got my motorcycle, i've dropped it a few times lol (motorcycle gloves are not the best for getting a phone out of your pocket) so its scraatched a bit


but it's still a storm, and whenever girls try to use it, they think its broken cause its not dialing, then i point out how the screen clicks and they're like "omgomgomg =D"

This is bullshit.
Your phone wont effect your game much, but it will get attention. Please don't listen to the above poster, by his theory if you take a guy who was in a lambo and put him in a old banger he will still turn as many heads driving along.
It wont get you women, make or break your game but everything helps. If you can afford nice things get them.

personally I have a LG viewty, the camera is awesome on it and really good for quick snaps with people. The touch screen is great too, for some reason everyone is obsessed with a touch screen. However, if you can suffer the awful contract for it, the Iphone is pure win. Even though the world and its wife has one anyone who doesn't will never stop being amazed by it. Plus its useful as hell, want to bounce to a new location? look for places near you etc etc.

You could probably save some canned material on your phone and look like youre texting if you forget it and need to refresh your memory. So long as your target doesn't read it off

I always get the cheapest cell phone available no matter what when it's time to get one. SPAM a free phone if I enter into a new contract? Sign me up!

Why? Because no matter how much money you spend on a cell phone, they all break in roughly the same amount of time, and normally I'll have dropped them in water, sand, cement or some other variety of phone-disabling material before that time comes. I went through 4 phones last year. If all those had been Blackberries or IPhones I'd have wasted tons of money that could have been better spent having crazy adventures.

Instead, I had those crazy adventures

For some reason this philosophy has never impeded me in the slightest in picking up women, and I'm ultimately a happier person for it.
